Saskatchewan's four biggest cities are among the 36 communities across Canada where Syrian refugees will be going, according to the federal government.

Saskatoon, Regina, Moose Jaw and Prince Albert have service providers who are able to provide immediate help to the refugees.

Yesterday, the government said it would be bringing 10,000 refugees to Canada by the end of the year, with another 15,000 by the end of February 2016.

The Citizenship and Immigration Department hasn't revealed how many refugees Saskatchewan will be receiving.

Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall says he welcomes the federal government's decision to take more time to bring in the Syrian refugees.

However, Wall also says he still doesn't believe there should be specific deadline at all.
