The Swift Current Public Library

Alzheimer's disease affects many people we know and love, and the Swift Current Public Library wants to help us learn more about dealing with the most common form of dementia with a free presentation Thursday afternoon at 1:00pm.

"The Alzheimer's Society will be coming in to discuss Alzheimer's with people and we're hoping to get a good crowd," said Head Librarian Chris Harrow. "There's should be lots of time for people to talk one-on-one near the end of the session if they have any questions... It's an educational program, it's for people to reach out to people who are in the same situation as them."

Harrow says they do this with a number of other groups, and adds they also have a Parkinson's support group, saying it's part of reaching out to an important demographic and informing them.
