The Provincial government has announced that they are allocating $243,000 for 60 projects across Saskatchewan through the Province's Heritage Foundation.

One of those projects is the Shaunavon Court House.  The town is eligible to receive up to $8,000 for repairs to the outside of the building.

Shaunavon Town Administrator, Charmaine Bernath, says that the town will be putting out tenders soon, and they hope to have the work completed this summer.  Bernath adds, the Cenataph and Center Street United Church have also been designated as municipal heritage properties, and are now eligible to apply for funding for repairs as well.

The historic Shaunavon Hotel will also receive funding through the Heritage Foundation.
