The ever-rising price of oil has many drivers concerned over the potential impact on the cost of fuelling up their vehicles.

Golden West Radio Business Commentator, Paul Martin predicts prices will continue to climb in the coming months.  As we go into the summer driving season, it puts more pressure on inventories in the gasoline world, which will force prices up.

As the price of a barrel of oil goes up, the price of gas seems to follow within days.  However, the price of oil dropped last week, and there were no changes in the cost of gas.

Martin says the fluctuations in oil prices won't always impact gas prices right away.  He says the process of taking oil, refining it, and returning it to gas stations takes anywhere from 50 to 90 days.

The best prices in the province today are in Swift Current, where several stations have posted prices of 112.9 cents per Litre.
