Tonight, local businesses are getting the red carpet treatment.

Taking place at the Living Sky Casino Events Centre, the Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce is set to host the 25th edition of the Swift Current Business Excellence Awards (SCBEX).

Set to host the show, after organizing it for the last few months, is Karla Wiens, CEO of the Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce. 

"We are thrilled to be hosting our 25th Special Anniversary Edition of SCBEX Awards," said Wiens. "This year we are rolling out the red carpet, literally. Our guests will be treated to a wonderful dinner at the casino, great conversations and connecting opportunities."

SCBEX will feature a full array of nominees in each of its 11 award categories. Entrants are selected from nominations submitted by the general public, which are then reviewed by last year's winners. Those that make it through tonight are amongst the highest regarded businesses in Swift Current and area.

"The two new ones that we have this year are Employer of the Year and Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year," revealed Wiens. 

Set to begin at 8 p.m., the event features both an in-person event as well as streaming on Swift Current Online and on the Chamber's Facebook Page. Tickets will be $30 a person for the in-person show.
