A 39-year-old Montreal man appeared in Provincial Court charged with possession of cannabis marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

     Maris Gheorges was charged on September 17th after a semi truck was stopped east of Swift Current and a large quantity of marijuana was found.

     Gheorges will remain in police custody until his next court appearance on September 29th.
