Tonight at the tree lighting in Market Square, folks can grab a cup of hot chocolate courtesy of Golden West Broadcasting.

Setting up at the tree lighting tonight at 6 p.m., volunteers from the local radio company will be handing out free hot cocoa to everyone who wants something warm to drink.

Every cup will be 100 per cent free, with Innovation Federal Credit Union and Fresh Start also on hand serving cider for those wanting something a little different.

Inviting everyone to stop by and grab their refreshment is Morgan Butler, station/general manager for Golden West Broadcasting in Swift Current.

"We should be ready to go for when the ceremony starts," said Butler. "So come and find us at Market Square tonight serving hot chocolate for everyone that is wanting to warm their hands and bellies."

Golden West will be staying for the duration of the event. This means that even if you weren't able to get your cup at the start of the event, you may be able to get towards the certainly chilly end of the night.
