This is the time of the year when Graduation ceremonies are front and center around the province.

Here in the southwest, Graduation ceremonies took place yesterday in the communities of Frontier and Eastend.

In Frontier 14 students graduated this year and their Valedictorian was Miah Gates.

Dee Dean is the Principal at the Frontier School and spoke about what Graduation means to her. "Well, I just think it's such a celebration of their public school life. It's just a culmination of it. It's not the biggest day of their life necessarily, but it is eventful and it's cause for celebration."

Jordon Daigle is a teacher at the Eastend School. He agrees  saying "I think it's really important for them to get kinda appreciated for all their accomplishments though the year. And it gives them some time to spend time with their families so that they can kind of celebrate in the fact that they're finishing up their schooling, or at least their high schooling  and kinda moving on to adult life."

Ten students graduated in Eastend yesterday and their Valedictorian was Codee Scott.
