The Cypress Health Region and the Ministry of Health in conjunction with STARS Air Ambulance are looking at viable options for a helipad, so emergency helicopters have a place to land near the hospital.
Full Interview with Beth Vachon "We've done our work and have identified a spot near the Cypress Regional Hospital where we will be looking at completing the construction of a helipad in the spring of 2013," said CEO of the Cypress Health Region Beth Vachon. "It's going to be our first but we also are looking at where other spots may potentially be. We have a really large region and one of the things that we are aware of is that along with somewhere for the helicopters to land we need somewhere where they can re-fuel."
She added they will be looking into fueling stations near the region, and may utilize the Swift Current Airport.
