If your New Year's resolution is to quit smoking, the Provincial Government has offered help.

 

Effective January 1, the popular smoking cessation prescription drugs Champix and Zyban will be covered under the provincial drug plan.

 

Health Minister Don McMorris says it's another measure in the government's Tobacco Reduction Strategy, to help Saskatchewan residents make healthier lifestyle decisions by reducing tobacco use.

 

Over the past year, the province has introduced new laws against smoking, including making it illegal to smoke within three metres of doors and windows, on school properties and in cars with kids inside.
