A vital organization that exists to raise and administer funds for improving healthcare across the southwest is looking back on its 25th year of operations.

The Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation (DNIF) was established in 1999 and has been helping its partners make strides in quality and availability of healthcare for the quarter century since.

An annual general meeting is approaching and residents from the Swift Current and surrounding area are invited.

Executive Director Chris Martens said those who attend will hear all about what was accomplished in 2023 and see what the next year has to hold.

“We do encourage anybody that is interested in coming out to please do register ahead of time,” he said. “You can send us an e-mail at office@drirwinfoundation.com if you would like to do so.”

The public event is set for April 16 at the Eastside Church of God Fireside Room at 1:30pm, and the deadline to register is Friday.

The foundation serves communities all over the southwest including Cabri, Climax, Eastend, Gull Lake, Herbert, Hodgeville, Leader, Mankota, Maple Creek, Ponteix, Shaunavon, Swift Current and Vanguard.
