Saskatchewan is the worst when it comes to drunk driving.

The Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics show that nationally, after 25 years of drops, the past three years have seen increases in impaired driving offences.

In Saskatchewan there were over 6,000 incidents last year, three times the national average and far higher than the second province on the list, Alberta.

The report suggests that new federal legislation may have something to do with the jump.  Police can now do on the spot testing of drivers they suspect of being impaired.
