Kick-Off to Summer with Picnic Inn the Park

It's the traditional kick-off to summer in Swift Current.

Innovation Credit Union's 33rd Annual Picnic Inn the Park will be held at Riverside Park tomorrow from 1:00pm to 5:00pm with a full afternoon of family fun, entertainment and food at old-fashioned prices, and the Southwest Crisis Services Duck Derby at 4:00pm.

Brittany Marshall, a Marketing Specialist at Innovation, says they should expect a great turnout again this year.

“I think last year we had about 2,000 people. I think it did rain as well, so it hurt our numbers a little bit. In saying that if it does rain we have a backup plan.”

Marshall says if it does rain tomorrow, the event will be moved to the Stockade and Palliser Pavillion at Kinetic Exhibition Park.
