Kite Fun Continues in Swift Current

The fun of the Windcape Kite Festival lives on through the summer thanks to the summer family fun fly.

Organizer of the monthly event Shann Gowan explains.

"We all just meet out if the weather is decent and there's some wind to fly. We meet out at the Windscape Kite Field. And we fly our kites in the afternoon. It's really informal and lots of fun."

The event takes place on the third Sunday of the month in July, August and September, weather permitting.

The event serves as a great family outing says Gowan.

"Everybody should bring out their kites. It's lot's of fun to fly on a Sunday afternoon with your family. So we hope to see everybody there."

The summer family fun fly is a free event and participants are asked to bring along their own kites.
