The TSN Kraft Celebration Tour was in Kyle on Tuesday, and it brought a lot of energy and excitement to the community.

An estimated 700 people gathered at the rodeo grounds for the live SportsCentre broadcast, a barbecue, mini-rodeo and the presentation of the $25,000 Community Award to the Kyle Community Sports Centre.

Jaclyn Davis, Recreation Director for the Kyle and District Recreation Board, said it was wonderful to have the cheque in their hands, and adds the event was everything she expected and more, with the hundreds of people attending having a fantastic time, and the two hosts, Jay Onrait and Dan O'Toole, were a blast and have brought everyone into a good sense of community pride.

The live broadcast itself featured a few shots of the community and of the activities Onrait and O'Toole took part in while there, including a rodeo demonstration and a visit to the La Reata Ranch. A feature on Kyle-area pick-up man Gary Rempel and how he helped control a bull who jumped a fence into the stands at November's Canadian Finals Rodeo in Edmonton also aired, and the show's Top 10 feature was all about hair moments in sports, inspired by "Wally" the Wooly Mammoth. The highlights of the broadcast can be seen on tsn.ca.

The tour continues with another Saskatchewan stop on Thursday in Estevan.
