Amongst the openings this past week due to the lifting of COVID restrictions, the local Royal Canadian Legion is also back up and running.

General Manager Sharon Fortney says many activities are starting up again.

"We are about to start meat draws again this Friday with our 50/50 draws and then our bingo that's a big thing, starting July 15th next Wednesday."

According to Fortney other forms of recreation are also now available.

"Yes pool, darts and shuffleboard are all good to go, and with all the restrictions in place of course, like we are only using every second dartboard and we have all the restrictions in place for the physical distancing."

In terms of the past few months, Fortney says they missed the revenue that was lost but they used their time closed to do some cleaning and painting.
