The Swift Current and District Chamber of Commerce is on the look-out for a new CEO.

Earlier this week, the Swift Current and District Chamber of Commerce announced the pending departure of its CEO, Darla Lindbjerg.

Originally from Beechy, Saskatchewan, Lindbjerg is a married mother of three children who arrived in Swift Current in 2003. Her previous position prior was as Executive Director of the Swift Current United Way. Lindbjerg is proud of the work that she accomplished with her team at the Chamber.

"Getting the information out there. The fact that we offer cost savings benefits to our members through many different programs from group insurance to debit and credit card processing rates that are the lowest posted in Canada, to UPS benefits, to gas discounts. We offer a lot of cost savings programs like that, that typically will more then make up for a membership fee, and on top of that we advocate for businesses." said Lindbjerg.

Besides promoting business on a regional level, she says she promoted Swift Current and district provincially.

"I joined the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Saskatchewan shortly after I became the CEO with the Swift Current and District Chamber of Commerce. I was the vice-chair of that organization last year, I moved into the chair position this year, so I will be vacating that position but it was a really good opportunity for us to profile our community on the provincial level." Lindbjerg added.

Lindbjerg will now be joining the Innovation Credit Union, accepting the position of Associate Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Intelligence.

The Chamber has posted the position and is accepting applications until July 16.
