Local SaskTel employees are giving back to the community by taking part in TelCare, the Crown Corporation's employee donation benevolent fund.
"TelCare is an annual program where our employees do contribute to through automatic payroll deductions throughout the year," said Michelle Englot, Director of External Communications for SaskTel. "This year in the Swift Current area, we are donating over $12,000 to eight organizations, but across the province, the TelCare program will contribute over $320,000 to Saskatchewan non-profit organizations in 2013."
The local charities receiving TelCare donations are the Swift Current SPCA, the Salvation Army, Southwest Crisis Services and the Swift Current United Way, as well as the local branches of the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Saskatchewan Abilities Council, the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan and the Arthritis Society.
