A number of the individuals charged in connection with the Swift Current and area drug raids from September 25th appeared in Provincial court earlier this afternoon.

     47-year-old Charles Lionel Ruest, 20-year-old Derek Raymond Ruest, 18-year-old Desiree Ruest, and a 17-year-old young offender are all facing charges of trafficking cocaine and possession of property obtained by crime.  Charles is also facing a breach of probation charge, and Derek faces additional charges of trafficking ecstasy and breach of probation.

     Charles, Derek, and Desiree Ruests' court cases have all been adjourned to December 3rd while they seek counsel, and the young offender's case has been adjourned to November 10th.

     The other individuals charged in connection with the drug raids will appear in court at later dates.
