The Mad Caddies from California will headline the final day of the Long Days Night Music Festival on June 21st

This summer's Long Day's Night Music Festival is set for June 18th to 21st, and will feature a range of Canadian artists along with a group based out of California.

"The first night we have Lee Harvey Osmond, who is Tom Wilson's latest band, he put's on an amazing show," said Cultural Festivals Co-ordinator Shann Gowan. "Then on Friday night we have Bend Sinister, they are a young band out of Vancouver. They do alternative rock with kind of a 70's vibe, and they sound a little like Steppenwolf. Then the opening act is Steve Hill. He just won the JUNO for blues album of the year."

Yukon Blond, a Canadian indie rock band, will perform on the Saturday evening and American band The Mad Caddies will perform on Sunday night. Additional opening acts for the festival include local band Bears in Hazenmore and the Scott Richmond Band.

Gowan adds the group performing on the Volunteer Appreciation Night before the festival are no strangers to the area.

"Shred Kelly were here in the first part of February and everybody really liked them so we placed them on the volunteer appreciation night," she said. "They are a great band, lots of energy and based out of Fernie. They play what they call 'stoke-folk'. If you want to come to Shred Kelly you need to sign up at windscapekitefestival.ca  and go to the volunteer link and pick up a volunteer shift. And we could use everybody that is willing to come."

The festival takes place at the Windscape Kite Field and tickets are now available at Pharmasave.
