Nearly a decade and a half after a Canada-wide warrant was issued for a male out of the Gravelbourg RCMP detachment, the police have caught their suspect.

Robert Charbonneau was arrested this past Sunday at the Montreal International Airport in Montreal, Quebec, in connection with a charge stemming from alleged fraud back in 2004 and 2005.

The fraud allegations involve a school and a significant amount of money and the 67-year-old was charged with fraud over $5,000 in 2007.

He then later failed to appear in court following being charged resulting in the Canada-wide warrant being triggered in 2007.

Charbonneau is currently in custody in Montreal and appeared in court on April 19, 2021, and his next court appearance is April 24, 2021.
