Swift Current City RCMP were called to an altercation at an apartment building in Swift Current Thursday night, where a man received multiple stab wounds.

 

Police received the report at around 7:30pm, and when they arrived at the scene, a 51-year-old man was found with stab wounds to his head, back and chest. He is in stable condition in hospital.

 

A 19-year-old man, Eugene Vincent Rider, Jr., is in custody and was charged with aggravated assault. His first court appearance is Monday in Swift Current.
