It's a chance for the province's urban leaders to gather and share ideas, and pass them along to the Provincial government.

Two Swift Current City Councillors, along with Mayor Sandy Larson, will be attending this year's SUMA meeting from February 1st to 4th.

Larson says one of the biggest sessions at SUMA is the Bear Pit Session with the Premier and Cabinet, where delegates will bring their questions regarding some of their policies and procedures.

Larson says some of the main issues they will discuss include infrastructure and revenue sharing, which she says are glaring obstacles that every municipality faces when funding necessary projects.
