A 25-year-old Swift Current resident has been taken into custody in connection with a death last year where a body was discovered at Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park.

Rebecca Lynn Kuhlman was arrested in the City of Swift Current this morning and charged with one count of second-degree murder in the death of Logan Ring.

The RCMP believe Kuhlman was known to the victim.

"Ring was located deceased in November of last year at Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park and the "F" Division Major Crime Unit South has been working on this investigation since that time," S/Sgt. Murray Chamberlin with "F" Division Major Crime Unit South said. "We know there are people with more information about Logan's death and the time period leading up to it. We encourage these people to come forward and speak with police or call Crime Stoppers anonymously."

The RCMP are asking individuals with any information about Ring's activities and whereabouts prior to his death, traffic in and out of the park and parking lot at Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park from November 14 -17, 2016 and any descriptions of people or vehicles observed in the area during that same time including Logan’s blue 1991 Ford Explorer to contact the RCMP.

Kuhlman is scheduled to appear in Swift Current Provincial Court on October 4, 2017, at 9:30 a.m.

The police also noted this was not the residence on Railway Avenue that was the subject of a search warrant yesterday in Swift Current.
