Swift Current contributed heavily to Team Sask's fourth win at the 15U Ray Carter Cup in Oshawa, Ontario this afternoon.

Team Sask defeated Team Nova Scotia 9-5, with Swift players accounting for four of the nine runs.

Ethan Murdoch went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a walk. He hit a hard groundball single to center field in the top of the fifth inning, driving in a pair of runs. Murdoch singled again in the top of the sixth inning on an infield single with two outs. The performance earned him the Player of the Game.

Fellow Bantam 57's standout Kelsey Rokochy recorded his first RBI of the Ray Carter Cup in the game's opening frame. The third baseman singled to center to score Team Sask's third run of the first inning. He finished the game 1-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout in the cleanup spot.

Meanwhile Swift's Brody Alexandre had the game off in the field, pitching just a single inning out of the bullpen for Team Sask. The overager gave up a hit, run, and two walks in his lone frame, while striking out one batter.

The toughest test of the round robin lies in the last game for the Swift Current trio and Team Sask (4-0).

They wrap up group play Saturday afternoon against New Brunswick, who also sits atop the standings at 4-0.
