A new Fire Chief has been appointed for the Town of Shaunavon.

Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Shaunavon, Tara Fritz, made the announcement late last week.

"So, the Shaunavon and District Fire and Rescue Committee, which is comprised of the surrounding RM's and the Town of Shaunavon, officially made appointment to appoint Merrick Goldstein as the Fire Chief."

Fritz adds that Ron White has been appointed as Deputy Fire Chief, and Corey Gulaga has been appointed as Captain.

All appointments are effective immediately.
