A new play cafe will be opening in Swift Current this Saturday.

The Mad Hatters Tea Party, located at Carmel Mall on 1st Ave NE will be having their grand opening from 9:00am-2:00pm.

Owner Theresa Griffiths, says it is a place for parents to rest and relax while their children are safe playing indoors.

"Mad Hatters Tea Party is an indoor children's play facility. For parents to come in with the kids and meet friends, have a coffee, have something light to eat and let their children just play knowing that its fun, safe and relaxed. And keep them out of the cold as well."

Griffiths says this is something she has wanted to do for awhile.

" I've wanted to do this for a long time. Since I was in the UK, and we came here in January last year. I needed some kind of facility for my children to have birthday parties in and I just couldnt find anywhere. So I thought why not? Why not open one in Swift Current. It's a very big community with families and I thought they needed somewhere for kids to go so I thought I would open up my Mad Hatters Tea Party."

Mad Hatters Tea Party will also be available for birthday parties.
