Earlier this week, the Town of Herbert welcomed nine of its residents as new Emergency Medical Responders.
The nine residents have been licensed since mid-June, and Mayor Albert Kildaw says the town is very proud of all of them.
Kildaw says the addition of the response vehicle and a trained personnel team is a help to the community. He adds the businesses that the responders work for also make a big contribution, as they allow the personnel to leave work to attend to emergencies.
The EMS group will respond to emergencies around Herbert, which is a practice that saves paramedics time in assessing the situation.
