Nominations for induction into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum are now being accepted.

"Each year we honour those who have contributed to our rich Saskatchewan baseball heritage, by inducting those that contributed," said President and CEO, Jane Shury. "In order to be able to do that, we need people nominating individuals from their particular area that should be acknowledged and recognized."

"The individuals are selected on a yearly basis, and that means that when the selection is made in April, those individuals will be inducted on Saturday, August 15th this year," she explained. "We also select a team, a community and family. These are selected ahead of time to allow us to get names of people involved. Those who are selected this year in those categories will be inducted at next years induction."

The deadline for nominations is March 15, 2015 and Shury adds the Hall of Fame is now the "Home of Canada's Biggest Bat" in Battleford, Saskatchewan.
