Design plans and budget are currently being reviewed by the province.

The Saskatchewan Indian and Gaming Authority submitted design plans, operating and capital budgets to Regina, now estimated to cost $30 million to build.

Steve Shaheen is a spokesperson for SIGA and says they’re anxious to get started.

He adds that rising building and labour costs have altered the original budget.

Shaheen says SIGA has three expansion projects on the go: The Dakota Dunes north of Saskatoon, a project in Yorkton and Swift Current’s Casino.

SIGA wants to see construction begin early in the New Year.
