If you didn't get down to Mitchell Field last night, you missed out on one of the best ball games I have seen in a long time (for a couple minutes thought it might turn into another 19 inning game)... Thankfully it only went 11, and also thankfully the Tribe sent a big crowd home with something to be excited about. Liam Goodall with the walk off single(bases loaded one out) in the bottom of the 11th. Eros Modena nearly had the walkoff in the bottom of 10 (bases load two outs) but he was robbed by a highlight grab at the fence by the Mavericks left fielder.
Hopefully we can top last night's crowd for game 2 this evening out at Mitchell Field, 7:05 is once again your first pitch as the Tribe look to take a stranglehold on the Championship Series
Games 3 and 4 (if neccessary) are slated out in the Hat Friday and Saturday night, but that doesn't mean there won't be action AROUND Mitchell Field, if not AT Mitchell Field tomorrow and Saturday.
Had Mitchell, Dalan, and Nolan in studio this morning from the Midget, Bantam, and PeeWee Tribe teams competing in this weekend's Western Canada Baseball Championships overtaking 19th NE starting tomorrow morning.
And staying with minor ball... From yesterday a little league pitcher who challenged Clayton Kershaw to a "pitch off" (check out our twitter for more on that story). Stay on the blog and watch the video to see this girl pitch (guarantee she'd strike me out)
