This Thanksgiving, Swift Current RCMP looked to help make an Impact on local roads. The police force took part in the national Operation Impact campaign, which targeted traffic violations.
They report a number of tickets handed out for a variety of offences ranging from seatbelts and speeding, to failing to stop at a stop sign. One local man is also facing a charge of impared driving causing bodily harm after colliding with another vehicle yesterday along 8th Ave. NE. The 19 year old Swift Current driver will make an upcoming appearance in Provincial Court.
