Action from Saturday's PBR event at the Credit Union iplex

The Redhead Equipment Cody Snyder PBR Invitational was another big success in Swift Current this weekend.

A sold-out crowd packed the Credit Union iplex on Saturday to see some of the best bull riders in the world compete for $15,000 in prize money.

"How much better do you want it to get?" said World Champion Bull Rider Cody Snyder, who brought the event to the city. "Sold out crowd, and to have the bull riders step up to the plate and that many really good bulls, it was outstanding. We raised a lot of money for the Swift Current Broncos, and that's what this event was all about."

While the Broncos' Education Fund benefits, Snyder says it means a lot more for Swift Current as a whole to have this event: "You couldn't get a hotel room here tonight, they're eating and they're drinking and having a good time. We bring a ton of money into the city and to the province, and that's exciting for us as well."

And with two successful events under his belt, says they're already working to make next year's PBR event better. "We're already planning, you got to be thinking ahead of yourself. It's kind of like a pool game and we're already planning for next year. It's going to be big."
