Canadians are eating more beef and the Canadian Cattlemen's Association is pleased to report it.

The Beef Information Centre's John Baker says beef consumption is up about 3.6% per person, and 88% of the beef we eat is Canadian.

Baker says their carefully planned beef strategy helped.

Baker says manufacturers and food service and retail distributors have helped by marketing pre-cooked deli meats, and heat and serve meals with fresh ground beef.
