Students at the Shaunavon Public School recently performed the play "Peter Pan", and they welcomed about 400 spectators out over the two nights.

The cast of "Peter Pan" included 26 actors, and 34 students working together to put on the play, which raised just over $2,000 for the school's Drama Program. A portion of the money raised is also slated for risers for the school, which all the students can use and benefit from.

Brent Michelson is one of the Directors of the play. He says it's a great opportunity for students to get a sense of belonging. "And you still get that team mentality with it too, right? Like, there's kids that, ya know, sports isn't their thing and it's great for the kids who are. Those other ones that, ya, don't have that driver for sports, they're part of our drama family. They're included. They're one of our kids."

The other Director for the play was Shelby Carlson.

Students taking part in the production ranged in age from grade four to seven.
