Full regimental funerals are planned for the two Saskatchewan Mounties who died from injuries in a shoot-out near Spiritwood on July 7th.

The service for 29-year-old constable Robin Cameron will be held near her home community of Beardy’s and Okemasis First Nation.

And services for 26-year-old constable Marc Bourdage (boor-dahzh) are scheduled for July 25th in Regina.

Sergeant Rowland Schmidt of the Shaunavon RCMP detachment, says they are saddened by the events and it always hits very close to home when tragedies such as this happen.

He adds that it makes them all realize that risks always come along with their jobs.
