Swift Current RCMP conducted a highway drug bust earlier this week.

     Traffic Services stopped an eastbound semi truck Wednesday afternoon 55 kilometres east of the city.  A search of the vehicle turned up a large quantity of marijuana.

     Thirty-nine-year-old Maris Gheorges of Montreal, Quebec, was arrested and is facing a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking.  He will appear in Swift Current Provincial Court on Monday.
