Kids will be out in full force looking for candy today.

Sergeant Pat Laybolt with the Swift Current RCMP says there are a few things kids can do to be safe while trick-or-treating.  He recommends that kids travel together because crowds stand out better than a single person.  If your child's costume isn't a light colour, they should have something added to them to make them stand out better.

Laybolt adds that it's always important to look both ways before crossing the street, and to not run across the street.

When children are finished trick-or-treating, Laybolt says parents should inspect their candy before allowing them to have it to make sure what they are getting is safe.
