RCMP Urging Safety on New Year's Eve

As we get set to ring in 2013, Swift Current RCMP will be out in full force on New Year's Eve cracking down on impaired drivers.

"The public will see another effort put forth out there by our members regarding impaired drivers," said Staff Sergeant Al MacDonnell. "So again we would like to get that message out to please go out and have a good time on New Year's Eve but just make sure you have a plan in place to get home safely and if your drinking please don't drive."

MacDonnell added that no impaired drivers were charged over Christmas and Boxing Day, and is happy to see that people made the right decision to not drink and drive.
