RCMP in Swift Current are warning the public about another scam that could put your computer and personal information at risk.
They say a person is calling people and identifying themselves as being from Microsoft, and is wanting you to buy a program that can make your computer faster and clean up garbage from it.
The call is not from anyone at Microsoft, and the public is being asked to not provide the fraudsters with any personal information or to give them remote access to your computer.
Anyone who receives a call like this is asked to contact R-C-M-P or Crimestoppers, or you can call the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501.
