It's been an unusually wet summer and year in Swift Current and across the province.

 

The long-term mean is 270mm of rainfall, but so far there has been 578mm, that's double the normal amount.

 

Doug Judiesch, Agrometeorology Technician at Swift Current's SPARC Station, says we only need 45mm of precipitation to set a new record:

 

 

Judiesch adds there have only been three days where temperatures reached 30 degrees or higher.
