Students and staff have been given the option to stay home from school while an investigation is done on the presence of mold in two rooms at the Swift Current Comprehensive High School.

Students, staff, and parents are anxiously waiting to hear what will happen next.

Environmental Engineer Dr Don Figley conducted a search of the contaminated rooms this weekend.  The Chinook School Division will be reporting his findings later this afternoon.

Communications Coordinator for the School Division, Rebecca Chenowyth says they are optimistic about the samples.

Figley will be conducting a full inspection of the rest of the building on January 2nd.
