Plans continue to move along for the City of Swift Current to expand it's borders.    Back in May, City Council voted in approval of pursuing further growth through annexation of several parcels of land outside the current city limits, as land continues to run out for future residential, industrial and commercial use.

Director of Finance Tim Marcus says so far they've only received one response in opposition, from the R.M. of Swift Current.

The R.M. will be reserving comment as to why they are opposing the annexation until the next step in the process, which is a public meeting set for the end of July.
