The award-winning Gordie MacKeeman and his Rhythm Boys take the stage tonight at the Plaza Theatre in Shaunavon at 7:30 p.m. this evening.

Shaunavon Arts Council President Terry Shields says, "They are really the complete entertainment package. They've got a mix of bluegrass, of rockabilly, there's fiddle work, there's reels, so they're really going to give people a wide range of what people call roots music."

This performance is the final in the 2013-2014 season's concert series and they are busy planning the upcoming entertainment season.

"We'll be kicking off the season with Barney Bentall coming on Saturday September 27th," Shields says, "and we'll be ending the season with Jimmy Rankin coming for a performance in April of 2015 and there will be lots of exciting highlights for some additional concerts in between."

He adds, "And we've added something to the mix this time to make a great night out even better. We're partnering up with the Harvest Eatery to kind of enhance the concert-going experience. They'll be on location that night to offer for sale before the show and during intermission some tasty treats."

Tickets are $25 for adults, $7 for teens and $3 for children, available in advance at the Grand Coteau Centre and at the door tonight.
