A local business is supplying the community with more than just cold treats.

Dairy King held it's 'Donation Doubler Day' on Sunday and saw people donate money that would then be matched by Dairy King.

"We had just over $80 put in our container here, so we are going to purchase about $170 worth of groceries," said Shonnon Klassen, the owner of Dairy King. "I usually find some things that are on sale; that way, I can stretch things a little bit further."

Klassen said that the day is all a part of there Christmas in July celebration.

"Supporting charities is really important to us. We like to do things that remind people of Christmas time and often Salvation Army is one of those things people focus on during Christmas time and giving donations," she said. "It reminds people of the whole purpose of being a good citizen."

Over the last two years, around $350 has been raised for food to be purchased.
