British Columbia topped the list this year.

David Phillips is the Senior Climatologist for Environment Canada.

He says hailstorms were up on the prairies in 2006. In Saskatchewan alone, hail caused $100 million in crop damage this past year.

He adds that, across the country, 2006 had the warmest weather and spring on record. The summer was second warmest on record and it was the 13th warmest fall on the books.
