Flooding will likely be a problem in parts of the province this spring, and SaskPower is reminding its customers what to do with their electrical devices if they are hit with a flood.

The Crown Utility is asking homeowners to disconnect all outdoor electrical devices which may become submerged, turn off breakers to outdoor plugs, unplug and turn off breakers in basements if water is entering, and to shut off electrical and gas supply to all natural gas and propane appliances if water is entering your property.

All of these may require the assistance of a SaskPower representative, which you can call anytime at 310-2220.

SaskPower also reminds you to never enter an area to turn off electrical devices if it has started flooding, and also to stay away from fallen power lines, especially during a flood.
