A trio of WHL bantam draft picks with ties to Swift Current are in attendance at the SaskFirst U16 Summer Camp this week.

Kabos 'AA' Bantam Broncos leading scorer Reed Jacobson (39 goals, 31 assists in 29 games), who was drafted in the 6th round (115th overall) by the Spokane Chiefs, is the lone Swift Current skater at the camp.

Joining Jacobson are a pair of Swift Current Broncos picks from the Bantam Draft.

The Broncos' third-round (57th overall) selection, Saskatoon product Ethan Hein, is one of the goaltenders present after a year with the Saskatoon Bantam 'AA' Maniacs where he posted a 14-2-0 record and a 2.37 GAA.

Rounding out the trio is Massen Ziola, a Forward with the Yorkton Terriers Bantam 'AA' team, who posted 24 goals and 31 assists in 27 games this season. Ziola was drafted in the seventh round (145th overall) by the Broncos.

The SaskFirst Program was first introduced by SHA in 1988 to promote the quality of in-province talent and player development. Players who were selected to the camp will undergo an intensive five days of on and off-ice training, as well as meetings and interviews to test and develop all areas of their abilities.

The week-long camp runs until Friday, August 4th, at Notre Dame's 'AAA' and SJHL facility in Wilcox, SK.
