Ponteix held a junior badminton tournament on Saturday, and four Swift Current Comp grade 9 teams came away with medals.

Hillary Lacelle earned a gold medal in Girls Singles with a 23-21, 22-20 win in the final.

The Girls Doubles team of Kirsten Hanson and Hailey Carlson finished in the silver medal spot.

The Mixed Doubles draw saw an all-SCCHS final.

The Team of Kadence Pavely and Connor Frohlich took on Melodie Torales and MuNay Htoo in the battle for gold.

The win went to Pavely and Frohlich, with scores of 21-13, 21-17.

The next action for the SCCHS badminton team is this Saturday with senior tournaments on the go in Rosetown and Ponteix.
