The Swift Current Comp Senior Colts basketball team was playing their first tournament action of the season on the road at Prince Albert Carlton.

The Senior Colts won just one of four games at the 12-team tournament, but how close it was to a strong showing over the weekend.

The Colts won handily in their opener, topping Carlton Crusaders B 97-72.

After that was a trio of losses with a combined deficit of just eight points.

They fell 94-89 in a high-scoring tilt with the Norquay Knights, before two-straight OT efforts to close.

It was a tight 84-82 loss in added time to the North Battleford JP II Crusaders, then an even closer 86-85 loss to the Weyburn Eagles in OT.

The Senior Colts travel to Moose Jaw Peacock this coming weekend for the 'Helping Hoops' tournament. Their opener is a rematch with JP II.
